About
I’m Emilia — Film & TV Directing graduate, director, screenwriter, and model. Three years into freelancing across directing, production, and costume, with fiction as home base and documentary and experimental sneaking in when they can.
On set, I’ve directed actors, built shot lists and découpage, and led a crew with the kind of confidence that comes from knowing Welles was right: directing is really just presiding over accidents. Much of it was learned alongside established directors.
Off set, I’ve spent some years in front of the camera as a model, learning the difference between a beautiful image and, as Bresson put it, a necessary one.
Three years in, and I’m still very much in the ‘collecting receipts’ phase — happy to add commercials, music videos, and fashion to the pile soon.
